Gruene Gans in Kronberg im Taunus

When asked where I could enjoy a nice meal in Kronberg, the 40 year long resident I met on the Haupt Strasse strongly suggested this charming destination. Indeed, the food and wine were good with the highlight being the delicious chestnut tart with vanilla, macadamia ice cream creation. Waitress Johanna offered excellent service. I look forward to a return visit.

Very friendly and attentive service. Personable owner. Small but nice menu. French cuisine with good value for money. Great wines. A tarte flambee is always an introduction. Or Cevice from the sea bream and Chateaubriand. Perfect for a dinner date or a small party. Great to sit outside in summer. My favorite in Kronberg.

Grüne Gans feels like a secret garden. The atmosphere is quite, pretty, unhurried and offers delicious food with attentive, but no obtrusive service. I'll be back...

The place is cosy. But that's all there is to this place. The food is mediocre, I expected better for a Michelin star. The service is awful, the waiter made several mistakes in the order and was very unpleasant. I would not recommend this place.

One of the coziest and most relaxed restaurants in the Taunus. Add to that the unspeakably fantastic food, from the aromatic cream of pumpkin soup, over the best fillet of (willow) beef that I have ever tasted - aromatic, juicy, and so tender that it has decayed in the mouth - up to the chocolate cake with macadamia ice: rare I fed so well. In addition, a surprisingly relaxed atmosphere, to which the two local authorities have contributed significantly. All in all a wonderful experience. Absolutely reserve, during our stay many spontaneous visitors had to be rejected for lack of space.

Here is French restaurant. Food is very nice. But price is little bit high. But Michelin guaranteed this restaurant.

In Kronberg there is only one opinion about the Green Goose: Perfect! We can now fully confirm this judgment after our first visit. Upon entering the restaurant you will be welcomed with open arms, very courteous, friendly and open and accompanied to the table. The card is compact, but offers great food for every taste - as well as the wine list. The owner informs and advises on request in detail, but is neither intrusive nor put on. The food comes fast and is of excellent quality. We are happy to come back and wish the Green Goose continued success and positive feedback.

By far the best French restaurant in the area. The location in the picturesque old town of Kronberg is very romantic and invites you to a culinary excursion. The food is excellent, fresh and an absolute feast for the palate. The prices are absolutely reasonable and, in my opinion, inexpensive for this wonderful place.

Decent, Hessian/German food. You'll find no better place in Kronberg to take your vegetarian friends, just be prepared to pay the price. The wine selection is more than decent, the food is good, and service oscillates between abysmal and amazing, depending on day and person.
